Dani was selected first overall by Austin FC in January 2021. He would go on to start in over 20 games in his first season and continues to be an integral part of Austin’s starting XI in 2022.

Kristo Strickler joined Pereira when he was selected with third pick in the second round of the draft, as well.

  • Played professionally for four years before starting his coaching career at VMI.
  • Joined the staff in 2008 and is entering his 14th season
  • Four-year letterwinner at James Madison University, where he is the all-time leader in goals and points.

ASSISTANT COACH

JAMES LOFTON

  • Entering his third season as an assistant coach at Virginia Tech.
  • Spent five years as a head women’s coach at Ferrum College.
  • Led the Panthers to their most conference wins in Ferrum’s 27 years of intercollegiate competition.
  • Defender at UNCG and William & Mary and played in two ‘Sweet Sixteen’ NCAA Tournaments, one for each school.

First-Class Facilities

THOMPSON FIELD

The home of the Hokies features seating for more than 2,000 fans, and the open areas around the venue allow for another 1,500 to watch. The facility also features an operations center for the broadcasting of games on the ACC Network, a bluegrass playing surface, and recently enhanced lighting and audio systems.

A shared facility allows usage for training during the winter months.
